Services

The services each night last anywhere from a hour to a hour and half, usually depending on what each church request. Each night ends with a altar call for kids to find Jesus or for them to pray and draw closer to Jesus.

We often start out with action songs. One of the main attractions that we do is Puppets. This is always a big hit with the children.

We use object lessons and gospel illusions. We also have skits using adults and young people. Animal balloon routines and sculptures are included as well.

We will have creative ways for children to memorize scripture. Clowning is also a part of our ministry. We make what we do interactive so that children can participate in some of our skits and routines.

We use incentives as well to get the children involved and to come back each night. We pass out candy, which can be provided by the church. We also have a visitor's contest. There are many ways this can be done, according to what the church would like to do.

One incentive for bringing visitors, is to give a prize for both the boy and girl who bring the most visitors or an overall prize can be given for whoever brings the most visitors. Second and third place prizes are also given. The prizes however are provided by the church.

Some suggestions for prizes are things such as bicycles, CD players, jumbo water guns, skate boards, cameras, stuffed animals, and others that you as a church may come up with. Most generally there is someone in the church who knows what the kids in that area like and thus would be a good incentive for them to bring visitors. They can be purchased at Wal-Mart or such like stores.

We also have an offering contest. We usually do the penny offering. Each night children can trade their paper money for pennies that the church will have available as they come.

Usually fifty dollars in pennies will be enough for the first night for the children to change out. We provide the scales to weigh the offering.

We choose or usually let the pastor or children's worker choose who they would like to have for captains. There are usually two to three captains on each side of the boys and girls. The side that has the most monies for the night win that night. The side that has the most offering at the end of the week, wins for the week.

The side that wins for the week, their captain gets to feed the other sides captains baby food (This changes from year to year, from Pie in the face to all the winning side throwing water balloons at the losing captains as well as other such like incentives). However; This information is shared only with the captains after they are already chosen. However, we do leave it open to the church to decide how they would like to do the offering. This is just what is generally done.
